Halloween: The Game System Requirements and Platforms

Halloween: The Game is an Unreal Engine 5 title scheduled to launch digitally on September 8, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Deluxe early access starts September 4, 2026 at 9:00 AM PT. This page is the hardware and storefront gate. Gameplay lives on the Guides Hub and in Getting Started. If the box cannot run Easy Anti-Cheat on Windows 11, none of the role guides matter.

Minimum PC spec

Steam lists a 64-bit Windows 11 install as the operating system. There is no published Windows 10 path. DirectX 12 is required. Storage is 45 GB, and an SSD or NVMe drive is required, not recommended as a nice extra.

Treat 30 fps at 1080p as the floor, not a target. Killer Sense, Shape Jump exits, and civilian shoves all play worse when the camera hitches. If you are buying a card for this game, skip the minimum GPU unless you already own one.

The recommended GPU line is a series, not a single SKU. A 3060 and a 3090 are both RTX 3000. Plan for the kind of 1v4 you want: dark hedges on Haddonfield Heights are more readable on a card that can hold frame time while lights pop on and off during Blackout.

Anti-cheat, controllers, and stores

Online PC play uses Easy Anti-Cheat. Steam warns that it is kernel-level and may need manual removal after uninstall. Budget time for that if you are on a shared machine. Crossplay is planned across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, so a Steam install is still talking to console sessions.

Full controller support is listed. Keyboard and mouse will work; a published full key table does not exist yet, which is why Controls refuses to fake one. Plug in a pad if you want the same camera language as console teammates.

Steam and Epic both carry Standard ($39.99) and Digital Deluxe ($59.99). Deluxe is the September 4 window plus extra civilians and the Inmate Myers skin. Physical Standard discs follow on October 6, 2026. The Collector edition is around $149.99. None of those SKUs change the GPU requirement.

Consoles, regions, and what is not listed

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are the console platforms. There is no last-gen SKU. Japan’s PlayStation 5 version is cancelled because of violence and nudity; Xbox and PC in Japan remain scheduled for September 9, 2026. Australia and New Zealand refused classification over a controlled-substance mechanic, so those storefronts are not a launch plan.

Handheld and Linux support are not on the published spec sheet. Steam Deck is not an official row in the requirements table. Do not treat a community hope as a min spec.

Offline options exist: the six-chapter story as Myers, and bots for the 1v4 ruleset. Story still needs the same GPU. Bots still need the install. They only remove the live lobby, not Windows 11 or the SSD.

If you are weighing a purchase, confirm OS, RAM, GPU series, and a free 45 GB SSD first, then confirm your country will actually sell the game. After that, spend the remaining attention on Play as Michael Myers or Survive as a Civilian, not on another FPS guess. A 45 GB SSD install is the cheap part of the checklist. Showing up on Windows 10 with a hard disk and no anti-cheat is how you miss both the September 4 Deluxe window and the September 8 launch for a problem a store page already spelled out.
