Halloween: The Game Launch Dates

Halloween: The Game has three staggered windows, not one street date. Digital Deluxe owners get four extra days. Standard digital buyers wait until September 8, 2026. Physical PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series copies, including the Collector set, arrive on October 6, 2026. IllFonic’s official pre-order FAQ is explicit about Deluxe: early access begins Friday, September 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time. That is the time this wiki treats as confirmed. Shane the Gamer reported the same 9:00 AM PT Deluxe open. Some round-ups listed 10:00 AM PT for both Deluxe and Standard; Epic-style store metadata has also shown 16:00 UTC, which is 9:00 AM PT during Pacific Daylight Time. Prefer 9:00 AM PT for Deluxe. For September 8, watch your storefront countdown rather than assuming a second 9:00 AM PT unlock if the page shows a different clock.

Physical dates do not move with Deluxe. Nighthawk Interactive’s Standard and Collector discs are dated October 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. PC has no retail disc in the current plan. If you want the Clown Myers skin or the Shape Jump figure in-hand, that is an October event, not a September 4 event.

Australian and New Zealand conversions are listed only as reference. Those countries cannot buy the game after the August 2026 refused-classification decision. Do not pre-order through a foreign storefront hoping to dodge that ruling.

What happens between September 4 and September 8

Deluxe digital copies unlock four days early. That is the entire point of the $20 step from $39.99 Standard to $59.99 Deluxe, along with the Inmate Myers skin, exclusive civilians Richard and Alexis, and related cosmetics. Standard digital owners remain locked out until September 8. IllFonic has said a Digital Deluxe Upgrade will be offered at launch for players who buy Standard first; that upgrade is not the same as owning Deluxe on September 4.

During those four days, expect Deluxe players to learn map sightlines, Myers stalking routes, and civilian item loops before the wider population arrives. Role-based matchmaking and killer tokens (covered on the news page) will matter immediately if Myers queues are long. Crossplay is advertised, and Easy Anti-Cheat is required on PC, so a Steam or Epic install plus an SSD with 45 GB free should be finished before 9:00 AM PT — not during it. Walk through the pre-order checklist the night before.

Platforms and storefronts

Digital pre-orders are live on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Epic. The links hub keeps those URLs in one list. Steam’s product page is app 3219630. Console copies need a current-generation machine: PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. There is no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One SKU in the announced plan. Online multiplayer on Xbox requires the platform’s paid multiplayer tier; PlayStation Plus is expected for PS5 online in the usual way.

The six-chapter story mode is a single-player campaign and should not depend on Deluxe matchmaking. If you only care about stalking from behind the mask offline, Deluxe still buys you four extra days to finish chapters before 1v4 queues fill with Standard players. Check the tier list after you have a few matches, not before you own a platform.

Physical October 6, 2026

Physical Standard (MSRP $39.99) includes the game, an exclusive poster, early Clown Myers, and two civilian cosmetics. The Limited Collector’s Edition (MSRP about $149.99) adds a Trick or Treat Studios Shape Jump 8-inch figure, lenticular art, a poster, early Samhain and Clown Myers, and extra civilian cosmetics. Those extras do not pull the disc date forward. If your goal is to play on September 4, you still need a Deluxe digital pre-order even if a Collector box is sitting in a shopping cart.

Japan’s PlayStation 5 SKU is cancelled; Japan Xbox and PC remain dated September 9, 2026. Australia and New Zealand have no digital or physical path. Read regional availability before you gift a code.

Set two alarms, not one. The first is Deluxe at 9:00 AM PT on September 4, 2026. The second is your storefront’s September 8 digital countdown, which may not match a blog’s 10:00 AM PT claim. Leave October 6 for the disc, the poster, and the figure — those dates do not unlock Haddonfield four days early.
