Edition Comparison

Halloween: The Game sells four named ways in: Digital Standard, Digital Deluxe, physical Standard, and the Limited Collector’s Edition. Prices in USD are $39.99, $59.99, $39.99, and about $149.99. Only Deluxe digital unlocks at 9:00 AM PT on September 4, 2026. Standard digital waits until September 8, 2026. Both physical SKUs wait until October 6, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. This page is the comparison table behind the pre-order checklist and the release schedule.

If you still need the pitch for the game itself, watch the overview video on this page, then read getting started, maps, and story mode. Role pages for Myers and civilians matter more after you know which cosmetics you actually own.

Digital editions

Official digital copy from halloweengame.com and the June 6, 2026 pre-order wave:

Phantom Michael Myers pre-order skinYes, with a digital pre-orderYes, with a digital pre-order
More surprises (studio wording)NoYes

Xbox and Epic Deluxe listings match that split: pre-purchase content is advance access plus Phantom Myers; Deluxe content is Inmate Myers, Alexis and Richard, Laurie advance access, and the comic. PCGamingWiki summarizes Deluxe as four exclusive character skins plus the 9:00 AM PDT September 4 head start. IllFonic has also said a Digital Deluxe Upgrade will be offered at launch for Standard owners; that upgrade is not four extra days in early September. If you want the September 4 window, you need Deluxe on the store before 9:00 AM PT, not an upgrade after Standard unlocks.

Steam (app 3219630), PlayStation, Xbox, and Epic all list both digital SKUs. Crossplay is advertised between those platforms where the game is sold. Easy Anti-Cheat is required on PC regardless of edition. Storage is 45 GB on an SSD for every PC SKU — Deluxe does not download a smaller build.

Physical Standard (October 6, 2026)

Nighthawk Interactive’s physical Standard (MSRP $39.99) is a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series disc bundle, not a PC box. Announced contents:

  • The game
  • Exclusive poster
  • Advance access to the Michael Myers Clown skin
  • Two civilian cosmetics

“Advance access” here is a cosmetic unlock tied to the physical edition, not the September 4 Deluxe server window. You still play on October 6 unless you also own Deluxe digital. The Clown skin is a physical extra; Deluxe’s headline Myers skin is Inmate. Do not assume they are the same outfit.

Limited Collector’s Edition (about $149.99, October 6, 2026)

The Collector SKU is the shelf piece. Announced contents:

  • A copy of the game (PS5 or Xbox Series)
  • Exclusive Trick or Treat Studios Shape Jump 8-inch figure
  • Exclusive lenticular art
  • Exclusive poster
  • Advance access to Michael Myers Samhain and Clown skins
  • The two civilian cosmetics from physical Standard plus two additional civilian cosmetics
  • More surprises to be revealed later in IllFonic’s original listing

Collector does not include Digital Deluxe early access unless a retailer bundles a digital code (none is listed on the official breakdown). The figure is a display item from Trick or Treat Studios, not an in-game pet. If your budget is $150 and your goal is to main Myers on September 4, Deluxe digital plus a later physical Standard is the coherent pair; Collector alone is the coherent pair if your goal is the statue and the October disc.

Japan PlayStation 5 is cancelled; Japan Xbox and PC remain dated September 9, 2026. Australia and New Zealand cannot buy any row in this table. See regional availability. Deluxe early access still uses role-based matchmaking and killer tokens, so paying $59.99 does not guarantee unlimited Myers — that is news and the tier list, not an edition perk.

Which SKU fits which player

  • You want the earliest legal queue: Digital Deluxe.
  • You want the film and the 1v4 at the lowest digital price: Digital Standard, then consider the Deluxe Upgrade after September 8 if you want Richard, Alexis, and Inmate Myers.
  • You want a poster and Clown Myers on a shelf: physical Standard in October, optionally stacked with Deluxe digital if you also want September 4.
  • You want the Shape Jump figure and Samhain Myers: Collector in October.

Run the pre-order checklist after you pick a row, or return to the Tools Hub if you still need the overview. Confirm Windows 11 and 45 GB if you are on PC, and confirm your store country. Official links point at Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic, and halloweengame.com. System requirements repeat the GPU floor so Deluxe is not stranded on a HDD.

The Collector figure ships with the October disc; Deluxe buys four extra nights in Haddonfield. Those are different products that happen to share a title screen. Choose the night you want to enter 1978, then choose the box that actually unlocks that night — and only then start planning civilian loadouts or a Myers route through Orange Grove.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What does Digital Deluxe include?

The base game, four-day early access from 9:00 AM PT on September 4, 2026, the Inmate Myers skin, civilians Richard and Alexis, advance access to the Final Girl Laurie cosmetic, a digital comic, the Phantom Myers pre-order skin, and additional surprises listed by IllFonic.

Does physical Standard play on September 4?

No. Physical Standard and Collector are dated October 6, 2026. Early access is a Digital Deluxe benefit. See the release schedule.

Can I upgrade Standard to Deluxe later?

IllFonic said a Digital Deluxe Upgrade will be offered at launch, covering exclusive civilians, an exclusive Myers skin, and more. That upgrade is not the September 4 early-access window.

What is in the Collector edition?

A disc copy, a Trick or Treat Studios Shape Jump 8-inch figure, lenticular art, a poster, early Samhain and Clown Myers, extra civilian cosmetics, and further surprises. Price is about $149.99.

Are Phantom, Inmate, Clown, and Samhain the same skin?

No. Phantom is the digital pre-order Myers skin, Inmate is Deluxe, Clown is physical, and Samhain is Collector (with Clown). Check the tables before you double-buy.

Where do I buy each SKU?

Digital: Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic — listed on official links. Physical: retailers working with Nighthawk Interactive. Run the pre-order checklist before checkout.
